We investigate the simultaneous effect of Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbit interactions on the formation of Fröhlich polarons in two-dimensional semiconductors in weak electron-phonon coupling approximation. The results illustrate that the spin-orbit coupling terms may significantly affect the polaron properties. We show that in the presence of both SO coupling terms the self-energy correction of the electron energy as well as the polaron effective mass exhibit an angular anisotropy unlike the case when only one of the spin-orbit coupling terms (Rashba or Dresselhaus) is considered. The simultaneous consideration of the Rashba and Dresselhaus mechanisms shows that polaronic effect may become either stronger or weaker depending on directions, a phenomenon which does not occur when the spin-orbit interaction is not taken into account.
